2005 Sacramento Chess Championship -- PAGE 5

The 2005 Sacramento Chess Championship attracted 90 players to the state capital on a hot 4th of July weekend. Although the event was advertised as an "adult" chess tournament, half of the players were juniors. The family friendly atmosphere at the Best Western Expo Inn and the excellent organization by John McCumiskey allowed everyone to have fun while concentrating on chess. The pictures on these pages document the chess action. All photos were taken by Michael Aigner. Each page has a specific theme: Page 1: tournament prize winners -- Page 2: Sacramento area chess players -- Page 3: fpawn's students -- Page 4: other young players -- Page 5: miscellaneous photos
